Last week we looked at setting powerful intentions for 2021. Now we’re focusing on how to manifest your intentions in 7 steps.
The first thing to understand about manifesting intentions is that we create our own reality, whether consciously or unconsciously.
We may not do it all the time, or even be aware of it, but the power of our thoughts and decisions have a huge impact on our daily lives.
When we begin to acknowledge that we can change any situation – or at least our perception of it – we are getting close to figuring out how to manifest our true intentions.
But it’s not an easy thing to get your head around, especially if you are new to it!
Often, experts break it down into three distinct steps: attract, create, then manifest. This is based on the idea that when you will something to happen, your thoughts can manifest your reality.
But how does that actually work in practice?
Here, we take a look at how to manifest your intentions in 7 steps…
Step 1: Connect with your true intentions
As we saw in last week’s post, it’s really important to set a few clear intentions that truly connect with your innermost needs.
Setting intentions based on feelings of fear or necessity will only perpetuate more fear and the sensation that you never have enough in your life.
Instead, be sure to set your intentions from a place of honouring your self-worth, love and the desire to create true happiness.
Take some time to think about the real motivations behind them. Get clear on wants, don’t wants – all the characteristics and tiny details.
Writing down what you want can help you manifest faster.
Step 2: Clear any resistance
Before you can manifest your intentions, you have to get rid of all the things holding you back.
Limiting beliefs and blocks are your enemy here. Identify them and explore them fully. When you become aware of these harmful patterns, you can begin to challenge them.
Don’t be put off – this work can be challenging to navigate on your own, but it’s not impossible. It just takes some commitment.
Maybe think about seeking support from a coach, mentor, or teacher who you really connect with.
Step 3: Take positive action
Unfortunately, we all need to accept that the universe isn’t just going to drop all of our heart’s desires at our feet!
We need to get into the habit of taking steps towards what we’re trying to manifest.
Identify one or two daily actions you can take to get yourself closer to your goals.
And understand that on some days, the goal may just be to actively trust the process and challenge negative or doubting thoughts that creep into your mind… because they will.
Step 4. Release your attachment to the outcome
Now that you are really clear on what it is you want and why you want it, release your attachment to it. That might not make perfect sense on first read but…
Tension creates more tension. Ease creates more ease. Set your intention, and then learn to keep your attention in the present moment rather than a future point.
What can you do, right now, in this moment, to create more ease for you to attract what you want? All you need to do is cultivate the space for your intention to land.
Step 5. Embrace the obstacles!
As you work on manifesting your intentions, be prepared to meet some obstacles along the way.
Choose to look beyond these challenges and acknowledge the new doors they may have opened for you.
Also recognise that, along the way, you’ll be faced with decisions that create the energy to help you manifest your intentions.
When faced with a decision either large or small, tune in and ask yourself for your true response.
Step 5: Trust in the process
Trust that you are more than capable and worthy of receiving that which you desire.
Trust that you are a creative being with the power to transform your life.
Trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
Step 6: Revisit, reflect and grow
Sometimes when we set our intentions, we might find that we get the exact opposite appearing in our lives. But guess what? That’s the universe’s gift to you!
So, pick a time, whether that’s 30 days from now or even a year, and revisit your initial intentions.
Reflect on how they manifested in your life, what has changed, how you’ve changed, and grow from the experience.
Step 7: Lastly, keep your vibrations high!
Remember to celebrate yourself along the way.
Celebrate when you put in the time, effort and commitment – whether it produces the exact result you had in mind or not.
Celebrate even the smallest successes and celebrate when you fail, acknowledging what you’ve learned and what you’ve gained from this lesson.
Celebrate when you’ve had a great day and when you’ve had a really tough day but are still standing.
When you learn to receive and celebrate your own love and acknowledgment, you’ll attract more of what you want.
